The match played at the Sylhet International Stadium witnessed Bangladesh’s explosive batting. Liton Das, the opener, scored 71 runs off 70 balls with 3 fours and sixes each. Shanto, who came in third, scored 73 runs off 77 balls including 3 fours and 2 sixes. Tauhid Hridoy, who came fifth, scored 49 runs off 34 balls.
But even though the top-order batsmen shone, the real star of Bangladesh’s innings was wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim. Batting at number six, the 35-year-old remained unbeaten on 100 off just 60 balls. Rahim’s brilliant innings consisted of 14 fours and 2 sixes. Rahim scored his century on the last ball of the Bangladesh innings.

Mushfiqur Rahim holds the record for the fastest ever ODI century by a Bangladesh player with his 60-ball century. Rahim yesterday made the record of 63-ball century against Zimbabwe in 2009 by Shakib Alhasan a legend. Mushfiqur Rahim crossed 7000 runs in ODI cricket during the match. With this, he became the third Bangladesh player to achieve this feat. Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan are the other Bangladesh players who have reached this milestone before this.
Mushfiqur Rahim scored a record century as Bangladesh posted a massive score of 349/6. This is their highest ever score in ODI cricket. Yesterday, Bangladesh rewrote the record of 338/8 scored against Ireland.
