Musiala, the X factor
The young German international has splashed this German Supercup with his talent. Untenable on his left wing, Jamal Musiala put the opposing defenders through hell. His calls and dribbling constantly created an imbalance and hampered RB Leipzig. He concretized his good performance by opening the scoring with a cross shot following a corner (14th). He was then a passer on the third Bavarian goal scored by Pavard (45th). An XXL performance to launch his season in the shoes of a holder.
Sadio Mané launches his Bavarian adventure
The Senegalese did not drag to be decisive in his new colors. Associated with Gnabry at the forefront of the attack, Sadio Mané was very active. He scored his first goal for Bayern in an official match, the second for the Munich this Saturday evening, when he received a center from Gnabry which he took over perfectly from the left to beat Gulacsi (32nd). A spectacular game

Halstenberg, upside down
The central defender of RB Leipzig suffered a lot. In the first period, he was in great difficulty and took on water like all his defense. It is misaligned on the second Bavarian goal and allows Gnabry to stay in play and serve Mané for the break goal. On Bayern’s 4th goal, he lets Müller go behind his back who can challenge Gulacsi before Gnabry completes the action. A very complicated match for the German defender who still revived his team by scoring with a header (60th).
RB Leipzig reacts too late
Admittedly, the end of the match was thrilling and tense with a one-goal advantage for Bayern in added time. But before those final minutes, RB Leipzig completely thwarted and were outclassed for the first 45 minutes as they returned to the locker room with a 3-0 suitcase. In the second half, Domenico Tedesco’s men reacted well and the entry into play of Olmo transformed the team. But the locals cracked at key moments, notably conceding 4-1 by Gnabry (65th). An interesting reaction and rise in power but much too late to hope to win a first Supercup.
