Music and theater, Florence seen from above

by time news

Looking at Florence in a new way. Listen to concerts or debates, deepen part of its ancient history, look to the present and beyond. All from an original point of view, that of 10 views from the roofs and terraces where, thanks to the different perspective given by the height, it is possible to grasp an original glimpse of the city. Ten meetings for ten points of view in places such as the Caff del Verone of the Museo degli Innocenti, the terrace of Villa Bardini and the Palazzina Indiano Arte. But also the Arcetri hill and the Rose Garden.

From tomorrow to 23 September, the second edition of the Florence from above review takes place, a strategic project of the Florentine Summer organized by Lama Societ Cooperativa – Impresa Sociale, in collaboration with La Scena Muta and, new this year, in partnership with Cooperativa Archeology and Enjoy Florence. It starts with a sold out from the terrace of the Palazzo della Borsa where you can listen to the stories of the archaeologists and guides of the Archeology Cooperative. Their stories will lead to the ancient Tiratoio delle Grazie in the place where, thanks to the Grand Duke Pietro Leopoldo, the first Chamber of Commerce in Italy was born, beyond the guilds. On July 15, instead, we will talk about utopia, revolutions and a world that seems very distant today with Massimo Zamboni who will present his book on the terrace of the Casa del Popolo in Settignano The triumph (Einaudi) with short musical forays. Also in July, the appointments will see the terrace of the Palazzina Indiano Arte, built in 1871, where on the 22nd in collaboration with Ristoro dell’Indiano-Palazzina Indiano Arte it will be possible to discover the history of this section of the Cascine park, while on the 29th in Arcetri a walk is organized to the Astronomical Observatory recalling history and Galileo Galilei that history made it. Author music on August 5th at Forte Belvedere with Bobo Rondelli and the songs of his new album, Free heart. To learn more about quantum physics, you can go to the Rose Garden where on August 26 the physicist Gabriella Greison will tell the beginnings, anecdotes and curiosities in 1927 – quantum monologue, starting from a photo of 1927 that portrays 29 physicists who met in Brussels. In the year of the celebrations, Dante could not miss, but this time the point of view will be particular: on 2 September at the Amphitheater of the Limonaia of Villa Strozzi Murubutu and Claver Gold will tell us about it in rap time with the updated characters of the Comedy, and therefore space for topics such as bullying, individualism, prostitution. More music on the 9th with Max Casacci (Subsonica): on the terrace of Villa Bardini to listen to his Earthphonia pwithdrew from a debate with the writer, botanist and academic Stefano MancusoOn 16 September the guided tours of the Archeology Cooperative return to the terrace of the Caff del Verone, while to close the exhibition on 23 September on the Torre di San Niccol a visit in collaboration with the Cultural Direction of the Municipality of Florence and with Mus.e.
