Today, Thursday, the Syndicate of Musical Professions in Egypt revealed the developments in the health of the artist, Sherine Abdel Wahab, after leaving the hospital where she was being treated for addiction.

The union said in an official statement that Captain Mustafa Kamel contacted the artist Sherine in a phone call that lasted for more than half an hour, during which he made sure that she was in full health and fitness, immediately after leaving the hospital.

The statement explained: “To all the Egyptian and Arab audience, and to everyone who supported, supported and called to God that the great artist and the honorable Egyptian voice, Sherine Abdel Wahab, be cured. Rest assured, Sherine Abdel Wahab is at her home, and we talked together for more than half an hour.”

He pointed out that “the artist is in full health, fitness and beautiful smile, and soon, God willing, we will enjoy and cheer us all as an Egyptian and Arab audience.”

This comes after the Egyptian lawyer, Yasser Kantoush, announced that she was released from the hospital after a treatment period that lasted more than 20 days.

Yesterday evening, Wednesday, Kantoush published an audio recording sent to him by Sherine, in which she showed her “calling for help” from the hospital administration where she was staying for drug addiction treatment.

And the audio recording is the first for her since her health crisis and her admission to a hospital, where she directed her talk to her lawyer, saying: “Good evening, Professor Yasser, please do anything to get me out of the hospital.”

The Egyptian artist added in her distress, revealing her signature on papers forcibly, saying: “In the hospital, they kept me on paper, I don’t know what paper this is, and I thank God I stayed well, completed my treatment, and I have 20 days left, so I want to go out, please.”

In turn, the Egyptian lawyer submitted a complaint to the Egyptian Public Prosecutor accusing the hospital administration of detaining the Egyptian artist against her will in the hospital, despite her lack of a health need for that, before announcing her release later.
