Indian ghazal singer Pankaj Udas passed away. He was 72 years old at the time of his death. The famous singer of the subcontinent was suffering from physical illness for a long time.

In a statement from Pankaj’s team, Pankaj Udas died around 11 am on Monday (February 26).

The statement said, ‘Pankaj sir was suffering from illness for a long time and was not at all well for the last few days. He breathed his last at Breach Candy Hospital around 11 am today.’

Pankaj Udas has dominated Bollywood for more than 40 years. He conquered the 80s in Hindi film songs. Sung many popular songs. ‘Chandi Jayasa Rang Hey Tera’, ‘Na Kajre Ki Dhar’, ‘Deewaro Se Mil Kar Rona’, ‘Thodi Thodi Payar Karo’, ‘Niklo Na Benakab’ – all the wonderful ghazals sung by Pankaj Udas are still in the hearts of the listeners.
