Billionaire Elon Musk said on his Twitter account that the New York Times feed is “the Twitter equivalent of diarrhea” and classified the newspaper’s content as “unreadable”.

“The real tragedy of the New York Times is that their ad isn’t even interesting. Plus their feed is the Twitter equivalent of diarrhea. It’s unreadable. They would have a lot more real followers if they just posted their top articles. The same goes for it. to all publications,” wrote the billionaire and current owner of the platform.

The offenses to the vehicle occurred after the newspaper’s main page lost its verified account status on the social network Twitter. The vehicle, which has more than 55 million followers on the platform, had already announced that it would not pay for the verification stamp. Segmented NYT pages, such as travel, fashion, literature, among others, still haven’t lost their seal.

According to the new policy of Twitter, the famous seal that certifies the authenticity of a profile, will now be available only by paid subscription. Organizations will have to pay US$1,000 per month to obtain the gold seal, while individuals can purchase blue seals from US$7 in the United States.
