Musk congratulates Virgin Galactic on launching spacecraft

The founder of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk, congratulated the team at aerospace company Virgin Galactis on his Twitter on the successful launch of the VSS Unity spacecraft with people on board.

The spacecraft was launched from the VMS Eve carrier aircraft, launched from the America Cosmodrome in the state of New Mexico. Pilots CJ Sturkow and Dave McKay flew the Unity ship.

The flight was both a test run for the spacecraft’s systems, as well as an experimental site for NASA’s Flight Opportunities program.

Virgin Galactiс intends to organize commercial flights of tourists into space on the SpaceShipTwo suborbital spacecraft. Such a trip will cost 250 thousand dollars.
