Elon Musk wants to turn social network X into a “full-fledged dating site” and digital bank, reports Business Insider. The publication refers to participants in a corporate meeting organized by a businessman on October 26 in an online format.
Mr. Musk did not specify how exactly he would turn X into a dating site and what changes to the social network were planned for this. X’s owner “wants people to pay for everything” and expects X to be able to operate as a bank by 2024, one person said. As the source clarified, “it seems that this is not what users really want.”
Representative X did not comment in any way on the alleged plans of the owner of the social network.
Elon Musk acquired Twitter in the fall of 2022 for $44 billion. In April 2023, Twitter Inc. acquired by X Corp. headquartered in Nevada. In June, Elon Musk announced that Twitter would be officially renamed X; a month later, the social network changed its logo. This week, audio and video calls became available in X.
