American businessman Elon Musk has promised to change the bird on the Twitter logo. Instead, he wants a logo with the letter X. In his opinion, it will denote the imperfections of people, which makes them unique.
“And soon we will say goodbye to the Twitter brand and, gradually, to all the birds,” Elon Musk wrote on Twitter. “If a good enough X logo is published tonight, we will launch it tomorrow,” he added.
Elon Musk bought Twitter in the fall of 2022 for $44 billion. In April of this year, Twitter Inc. acquired by X Corp. headquartered in Nevada. In an interview with The Babylon Bee Talks, Musk stated that he “believes in descriptive brands, and ‘X’ can mean anything.” The businessman believes that the bird logo does not match his vision of the social network as a platform for publishing videos, photos and large format texts.
In April, the Twitter logo was changed to an image of a Shiba Inu dog from an Internet meme. The bird logo was returned three days later.
