fter a month of prayer and penance, the Muslim faithful of Faranah, like their co-religionists in the country, celebrated the feast of Eid el Fitr this Wednesday, April 10, 2024. In these places reserved for the great prayer, the faithful Muslims mobilized strongly.
Elhadj Abdoul Aziz Condé of the second central mosque of Faranah underlines the well-founded reasons for this celebration before blessing for the country: “God created prayer so that it supports Muslims. It is man’s prayer that we control first. It is an obligation for all faithful Muslims. All those who do not pray are disbelievers. We cannot fast without praying. We have just come out of the month of fasting. The central theme of this great prayer is peace and acceptance of neighbor. We pray to God that he will answer our prayers. We pray to God that peace and love of neighbor reign in Guinea. We ask for divine grace to guide the steps of President Mamadou Doumbouya and his government on the path to success for the people of Guinea. »
For his part, the governor of the administrative region of Faranah Boundouka Condé spoke in these terms: “This me is a me of piety, spirituality and strengthening of ties and above all well-being for the Muslim population who have practiced the young. At the same time this self is considered a month of purification and rapprochement with our lord Allah. On this occasion, I extend blessings and prayers for the people of the region. I pray to God that there is peace in the region, in our country. May God protect the population, may God protect our leaders, our authorities and all those who can hinder the well-being of Guineans, may God spare us from this. »
This faithful Muslim Marianne Sylla shared her feelings with us: “Today is a day of joy. A solemn day for us. God gave us the chance to celebrate this holiday. We thank infinitely the divine force which gave us health, prosperity to be able to manage this time otherwise it was a very hard time, very painful for everyone. I invite our brothers and sisters to join hands in the construction of this city of President Ahmed Sékou Touré. Everyone must fight for Faranah’s progress because as soon as you say Faranah’s name elsewhere, everyone thinks of Ahmed Sékou Touré. »
