The UAE re-introduced the law requiring visitors whose visas have expired to leave the country to renew them. Travel agents in the emirates of Abu Dhabi and Dubai have currently been instructed. The permission was given in the context of the spread of Kovid to change the visa without leaving the country. Such a facility was allowed considering the difficulties in traveling due to the spread of Kovid and the lockdown.

Those on visitor visas used to renew their visas from within the country by paying an additional amount. The administration has suggested that the new law will be applicable from Tuesday. After the visitor visa expires, you have to go out of the country by plane or bus and hit the exit and come back and renew your visa. The new directive is not applicable to resident visas.
