Thiruvananthapuram: Film actor and national volleyball star Migdad (76) passed away. He died yesterday afternoon at a private hospital in the capital while undergoing treatment due to a stroke.

Migdad shot to fame with his role as Filewan Rajanpilla in director CB Malayil’s debut film Mutharamkunn P.O. In 1982, Migdad entered the acting scene with the movie Aana Daniya. He acted in many films like Anaykkorumma, Pinna Kudamtum Pot, Manna Pannavan Srinivasan, Heera Enna Awan, Sakshal Sriman Chathunni, Mannar Mathai Speaking etc. Also acted in serials.

Retired from Postal and Telegraph Department in 2010. His residence was at AVRA 12-X, Petta Aksharaveethi Mathutvilakam Lane. The burial will be held today at 11.30 am at Polayathod Juma Masjid, Kollam. Wife: Rafika Migdad. Children: Mira Migdad and Rammi Migdad. Nephews: Sunit Zia and Shibil Mohammad.
