Today, Saturday, the Lebanese Hezbollah announced that it had targeted the reserve headquarters of the Israeli Northern Corps in the Galilee with dozens of missiles, and confirmed the destruction of an Israeli tank with a guided missile near the border.

Hezbollah said in a statement that this comes “in response to the Israeli enemy’s attacks on southern villages and safe homes, especially in the town of Al-Ahmadiya.”

The party revealed, in a separate statement, that a Merkava tank was targeted on the Ruwaysat al-Alam-Zabdin road with a guided missile, hitting it directly, destroying it and setting it on fire.

Israeli media reported that a missile barrage from Lebanon targeted a large number of unoccupied areas in the Upper Galilee.

Maariv newspaper website reported that about 60 rockets were launched from Lebanon towards Safed and Tiberias in the Upper Galilee since last night.

Channel 12 Israel also reported that rockets fell in open areas in Rosh Pina and north of Lake Tiberias in the Upper Galilee, causing fires.

In the same context, Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that 6 firefighting teams are trying to control a fire in the Amiad area in the Upper Galilee after rockets fell from Lebanon.

For its part, the Israeli army announced on Friday that it had targeted 140 sites in Lebanon during the past few days and killed a field commander in Hezbollah.

The spokesman said: “In the past few days, we have targeted more than 140 sites in Lebanon, including weapons manufacturing factories, warehouses, and observation points.”

He added: “We killed a number of Hezbollah members, including a commander in the Radwan Force.”
