jpnn.comJAKARTA – Gerindra Secretary General Ahmad Muzani considers his party chairman and candidate pair number two Prabowo Subianto worthy of being named The New Soekarno.
He said this when giving a speech at an opening event with the management of Gerindra West Java in Bandung, Thursday (28/3).
“I said that Pak Prabowo was like The New Soekarno,” said Muzani in his press statement, Friday (29/3).
The Deputy Chair of the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly said that Prabowo, from the start of his struggle in politics, had always tried to realize the ideals of the proclamation.
Prabowo, said Muzani, wants to eradicate poverty by providing lunch to 80 million students.
“That’s why he really wants to realize the ideals of the proclamation of August 17 1945, namely to free poverty and backwardness, and Pak Prabowo will make that happen. This is the new Seokarno born, the new Soekarno,” he said.
He also said that Prabowo was a figure who had a statesmanlike attitude so he deserved to be included in The New Soekarno.
Because, Prabowo wants to approach the party leadership who does not support the candidate who is paired with vice presidential candidate Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
