jpnn.comBOGOR – Circulating on social media (medsos) is the cabinet composition of President and Vice President-elect Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
Gerindra Party Secretary General Ahmad Muzani neither denied nor confirmed the circulating cabinet line-up.
According to him, the placement of ministers in the 2024-2029 government period is the prerogative of the General Chair of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, as the president-elect.
“I don’t really understand whether it is valid or not, because that is Mr. Prabowo’s prerogative,” said Muzani when met after the opening of the Gerindra National Working Meeting at the Garuda Yaksa Padepokan, Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java, Friday.
He explained that Prabowo had held limited discussions with Gibran and a number of leaders of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) to determine who would be appointed as ministers in the Prabowo-Gibran cabinet.
“If Mr. Prabowo has invited to talk to limited people, I think yes, with Mr. Gibran, with the coalition parties, but, how far the intensity and results of the talks are, I did not participate,” he said.
Muzani admitted that he did not yet know who the figures were that would be included in the Prabowo-Gibran cabinet.
“Whoever will be appointed as minister A, I will not follow position B,” said Muzani. (between/jpnn)
