Cédric Klapisch produced his second series this year. After Ten percentcreated with Dominique Besnehard and Fanny Herrero, he invented a sequel to his Spanish hotel : Greek salada series for Amazon Prime.
He mentions here Six feet underin French “Six feet under”, created in 2001 by the American Alan Ball who wanted, he said, to bring death out of the closet.
“The basic principle, says Cédric Klapisch, was to see a family working in the funeral home talking in every episode about the family of a dead person. It therefore started from a sad and somewhat gloomy situation to arrive at a funny series. It was very successful.”
