At 49 years old, Julie Andrieu is a calm woman, who has made cooking her passion. A passion that was preceded by another when she was younger. Guest this Sunday January 28, 2024 on the show A Sunday in the countryside presented by Frédéric Lopez, the host spoke about her personal life.
In addition to having mentioned her late mother Nicole Courcel who raised her alone, her father having left her two weeks before giving birth but she met him for the first time years later when she was 8 years old , Julie Andrieu told about her first love. And not with just anyone!
Julie Andrieu discouraged by her companion Jean-Marie Périer, she abandons her passion
When she was 17, the very young Julie decided to stop school and take up photography, which she loved. She works with France Evening for a short year and goes into the field. It was then that she crossed paths with a professional photographer who specialized in portraits: Jean-Marie Périer. The two artists became a couple and very quickly the experienced Jean-Marie Périer discouraged his young, spirited companion from being a field photographer. “Jean-Marie understands that I dream of a way of life perhaps more than photography. Especially since he doesn’t really want to see me go to Kosovo or I don’t know where. So I decided to change careers and since I wasn’t doing things by halves, I stopped everything. I never took any more photos“, Julie Andrieu told Frédéric Lopez.
A big, shocking age difference
During the story of his guest’s secrets, the host then wanted to know if the age difference between the two lovers was not a problem. Julie Andrieu was then 20 years old and Jean-Marie Périer 33 or 34 years older, a situation that Nicole Courcel (who died in June 2016) does not cope with well. “She is devastated“, admitted Julie Andrieu, remembering this period during which her relations with her mother weakened. Nicole Courcel judged that the couple that her daughter formed with an older man was her fault, because she did not have raised her daughter with a man.
But it was ultimately thanks to this love story which lasted several years that Julie Andrieu discovered her passion for cooking, guided by Anne-Marie Périer, the sister of her companion and wife of Michel Sardou who praised her for being very great quality of its dishes.
Julie Andrieu has been married since 2010 to neurosurgeon Stéphane Delajoux with whom she had her two children: Hadrien born in October 2012 and Gaïa born in December 2015. The whole happy little family lives in a sublime house located near the Château de Versailles. Julie Andrieu and Jean-Marie Périer remained on very good terms after their breakup.
