According to the information we received on this tragedy, several huts were set on fire, both roofs and houses. The fire started last Saturday until yesterday Wednesday.
Reached by telephone on the morning of Thursday, August 29, 2024, Mamady Minata Koulibaly, witness to the events, spoke to our editorial staff.
“Since last Saturday, the mysterious fire has started to appear in huts and houses here in Lero center, precisely in the neighborhood, Kouroussa-Koura. Four huts were burned and two houses. In addition, several huts are currently roofless. No one knows the real cause of this tragedy. On the other hand, some citizens blame the genies. Every 11 o’clock, since this Saturday, this mysterious fire appears. This Thursday morning, we did not see any fire, everyone is scared. But no loss of human life. We pray to God to put an end to this disaster,” he explained.
