The shooting death of a college student of Indian descent in Canada has caused great tragedy.
Karthik Vasudev (21) is a student of Seneca College, Toronto, Canada. He was studying in college and worked part time in a company.
In this case, he went to work last evening as usual. As he was passing through the tunnel, an oncoming gunman opened fire on him. He was found in a pool of blood and was rushed to a nearby hospital. But Vasudev succumbed to his injuries.
Toronto police said in a statement that “Vasudeva was shot by a black youth. We are investigating with CCTV cameras.
Meanwhile, the Canadian Embassy has expressed its condolences over the incident. A statement from the embassy said, “We are shocked to learn of the shooting death of Karthik Vasudev. This is a very unfortunate incident. We are in touch with his family. We are working to add his body to the family soon.”
Similarly, Union Foreign Minister S.K. “I offer my deepest condolences to the family of Karthik Vasudev, who was shot dead in Canada,” Jaisankar said on Twitter.
