The German Julia Faustyna, who claimed to be Madeleine McCann, “did not exist” in the first five years of her life, according to private investigator Fia Johansson, who helps the young woman in the case.
Julia sparked an internet firestorm when she shared alleged evidence suggesting she could be Madeleine, the Leicestershire girl who disappeared, aged 3, during a family holiday in Portugal in 2007.
The information, however, is now left open by Julia herself, which does not mean that the mysteries surrounding the German’s childhood are solved.
Fia, who previously assisted law enforcement with missing persons cases in the United States, is a key part of the investigation and has traveled to Poland, where Julia lives, to visit her and look into the claims she has made.
In an interview with the RadarOnline portal, the investigator said that her team did not find any hospital records of Julia in Wrocław – the city where she supposedly grew up – related to her first five years of life.
“It was so strange because everything in Julia’s health book, everything, started at age 5. So everything between the ages of zero months to 5 years, everything, is missing!”
Furthermore, Fia reported that there is no signature from a doctor that shows that any of the records in the file have been removed. “She just doesn’t exist during that time period.”
Julia has previously stated that she doesn’t remember much of her childhood and that she was never treated as part of the family by either her parents or her siblings.
She also claimed to have been abused by a German pedophile who looked like a former suspect in Madeleine’s disappearance, which raised suspicions that she might be the missing girl.
The Polish police have already reported having enough evidence that Madeleine and Julia are not the same person, but the gaps involving the Polish past remain unfilled.
