(24 News) National Assembly Constituency NA 171 Rahim Yar Khan by-election field is ready to be decorated, Hassan Mustafa and Makhdoom Tahir Rashiduddin are expected to fight.
Polling for the by-election in National Assembly Constituency NA-171 Rahim Yar Khan will be held on September 12 (morning), this seat became vacant due to the death of PTI President Mumtaz Mustafa Advocate. After that, the ticket was issued to his son Hassan Mustafa.
On the other hand, the Makhdoom family of Mianwali Qureshis united to regain the seat, Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht, Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar instead of contesting the election announced their support for their cousin Makhdoom Shahabuddin’s son Makhdoom Tahir Rashiduddin.
It should be noted that the Makhdooms faced an upset defeat in the general election, PTI supported candidate Rais Mumtaz Mustafa Advocate won by 1 lakh 38 thousand 32 votes, Makhdoom who participated as an independent came second. Hashim Jawan Bakht got 56 thousand 28 votes, while the candidate of the People’s Party, Makhdoom Tahir Rashiduddin, who was at the third place, got 49 thousand 18 votes. That will be enough tomorrow.
