Originally from Olivos, he says that as a child he fantasized about the idea of being an actor but he did not dare to express it and that is why he left his desire in the background. When he grew up and finished school, he enrolled in college to study marketing but his passion was stronger and he ended up dedicating himself to art. Nacho Di Marco He is 30 years old and has an interesting journey in the world of entertainment: he debuted with a scene with Lali Esposito in my hopethen participated in The rich don’t ask permissionacted in blow to the heartlater in Simona and he moved to Peru for a proposal that he could not refuse: to be one of the central actors of the soap opera The Vilchezwhich caused a sensation in the highlands.

He did so well in Peru that he ended up staying for three years and returned to Argentina last year to join the second season of ATAV Argentina land of love and revengeby Eltrece. There she gave life to the pizza maker Charly and now she is part of the play Wasabi, which is presented on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. in the Pablo Picasso room on Paseo La Plaza. “Wasabi is a very current comedy and is about the problems that one carries in one’s head and that one does not dare to talk about because he has them stored there, both for himself and for his partner. A group of friends get together to celebrate the birthday of one of them (Daniel Pacheco) and we are three couples, who are going to the birthday party with little things that we have saved and the clothes are coming out into the sun through a game that Barbara proposes (Luly Drozdek). It is a game in which each person has to write a question on a piece of paper, anonymously, and we all answer them. Anyone who doesn’t want to answer has to take a shot. It’s a meeting game, we’re eating sushi, having drinks and the wasabi is making things increasingly spicy. “They are deep questions that make the guests uncomfortable,” says Nacho.

-And what role do you have to play in the work?

-My character is Damián and he is in a relationship with Marina, played by Mechi Bove, who is also the author of the work. I am an older master builder, a neighborhood guy, humble, good-natured, super good guy and helpful. The guy who will fix your car or your washing machine when you call him.

-Does he have anything in common with you?

-No, nothing. I have some family members who help me compose my character but he is very different from me. Damián grew up in a very humble family, he is a neighborhood guy and always had what was just and necessary. He and his partner have twins and of the three couples we are the only ones who have children. We are very busy between work, the kids and how short of money we are.

-What family did you grow up in?

-I am from Olivos and nothing to do with my character. I never lacked anything, thank God. It’s not that we had enough, but I did have a comfortable time in my childhood. My mother, Patricia, is a history teacher and psychologist and my father, Marcos, is an engineer and has a construction company. I have two older brothers and one younger, ten years old, from my father’s side. My parents separated when I was five years old.

-Is there any other artist in your house?

-No, nobody. I didn’t have any reference within the family but I always wanted to be an actor. The thing is that he had it very internal, deep inside. As a child, I watched Pol-ka novels at night and when I grew up, as a teenager, I got hooked on Cris Morena’s novels. I watched Almost Angels and it was my inspiration. I wanted to be Peter Lanzani and be there. Even as a child, acting caught my attention, I think since I was six years old.

-And did you study theater?

-I went to some courses as a child but I have almost no memories. When I was a teenager, the bug began to bite me more consciously, but I didn’t feel encouraged, so I considered it very taboo and very much my own. It wasn’t until I was 21, while I was studying marketing in college, that I took the plunge and took the plunge. I confessed it in a talk to a dancer friend but I had never talked about it before because I was afraid of being judged or worn out by my friends. He was smaller, he had a different head and he scared me but I felt that at some point he was going to do it. It wasn’t clear to me how, when or where, but I knew that he was going to be an actor.

-Did you leave college?

-No, I continued it but I started studying theater. And my first gig was in 2015 in Esperanza Mia with Lali Espósito. I uploaded that scene I did to Instagram and everyone found out about it. How did I get to that strip? I studied theater with a teacher who is also a representative and he got me that gig. It was crazy, I was very nervous and that was the kickoff and I decided to tell everyone.

-From being a fan of Casi Ángeles to acting with Lali: could you believe it?

-No zero. She was on cloud nine. To this day it still happens to me. A year later, I had to act in The Rich Don’t Ask for Permission and my scenes were with Nico Riera, whom I also saw in Casi Ángeles and I thought: “How crazy this is, a couple of years ago I saw him in Casi Ángeles and now I’m here.” , playing hand-to-hand with all these people.” He was too crazy for me. It’s magical when something you’ve wanted all your life materializes. In addition to desire, I always had a lot of conviction.

-Did you never work with Cris Morena?

-No, but something really crazy is happening to me. Everyone who knows me tells me that I have the physique du role to work with Cris but I don’t know her and I would love to work with her. She hasn’t given herself but she would love. I couldn’t access it, she doesn’t know me and that’s really my dream. Besides, I think that if it’s not now, I don’t know when it will be because age is passing.

-You turned 30 years old. Did the change of decade hit you?

-My birthday was October 18th and the chip fell a little on me. It suits me well because I’m great but I must admit that I already feel like a guy, I’m no longer a kid. That’s the first difference I find. No matter how much older people tell me that I’m an idiot, at 30 I no longer feel small and I feel like I’m stuck in life in many things. In others I still need to learn but I am already an adult.

-What would you like to do outside of acting?

-I would like in the future to produce, direct, write and also have some investment that allows me to resolve the economic issue without having to depend on acting. But today the artistic is very strong and continues to be my priority. I’m putting everything into the actor and the musician, who I’m starting to develop. I sing and play the guitar. I want to launch myself as a singer and I’m still laying the foundations for that.

-How did you experience recording ATAV?

-It was amazing. I’m Charly, the pizza maker. It’s already over and unfortunately the strip didn’t do as we expected. We all had high expectations with this project but that’s the market and sometimes it doesn’t respond as we thought. Likewise, beyond the fact that I am in the novel, I saw it as another spectator and I liked it a lot. I am very happy and proud of the project we did. I grew a lot as an actor thanks to ATAV.

-Were you in Peru when the novel came about?

-Yeah. He had been working in Peru for three and a half years and with my life very well organized there. I wanted a change of scenery and one plan was to return to Argentina, so it was great for me that the strip appeared. During the pandemic the market died and my representative from Argentina proposed that I do a casting for ATAV, I went to the test and stayed. That’s how I turned back.

-What did you do in Lima?

-I left to act in a soap opera, Los Vilchez, which was very strong. It was going to be for four months but it went so well that we did a second season. It was very successful, I measured 25 points and I ended up staying in Lima. Then more soap operas started coming out and I couldn’t stop. A maelstrom of work that did not stop and in Peru I became very well known. When my mother went to visit me, I had only had the novel on the air for three days and everyone on the street greeted me. I had never experienced anything like this. To this day they still call me “Bicho,” which was my character. He hit a lot. Then I was in two more novels that also did very well.

-Did you go alone or were you dating?

-No, I went alone to Peru and it wasn’t until the second year of living in Lima that I got married. My first friends were my castmates and people from the environment that I met. I adapted very quickly and Argentinians treat us very well in Peru. Two years later, I got married with a Chilean woman named Cata Vallejos and we separated just before I came to Buenos Aires.

-How are you now?

-I’m still single and very calm. I’m not much of a boyfriend, huh. I have been in a relationship but have been in relationships for a year and a half; It didn’t last longer than that. I hope something comes along that gives me more time but for now it hasn’t happened to me. I like being like this because I value my freedom, especially not having to give explanations and live my life freely. I always handled myself like that. I like to make my decisions and not have them chase me. You can have a free relationship but when you are in a relationship, some freedom is cut off, obviously. I’m comfortable like this but if the person shows up, I have to break my head and then I’ll go all out.

Nacho Di Marco

-What do you like to do in your free time?

-Listen to music and unfortunately I must admit that I spend a lot of time on my cell phone. The phone catches me and I spend a lot of time there, between social networks, chats with friends, work, WhatsApp groups. I also like to train a lot and that is also a priority in my life, so there are two hours a day that go there.

-Do you train every day?

-Yeah. I take good care of myself and I like it. I don’t take care of myself when I eat, but I do take care of myself when training and I go to the gym every day. I make irons and play soccer with friends as an amateur. Beyond my job, I do it because I like to train, look good and feel good. I am aesthetic and I have no problem admitting it. I never had a problem and the day I have it, I will take care of myself with my meals.

-What do they compliment you the most?

-I don’t know, dude. I think the eyes. But there is no particular thing that they praise me for. As a child, they praised my eyes all the time but the truth is that I don’t pay attention to that.
