The press release also recalls that to support the socio-economic development experienced by the Greater Nador region, the Office is carrying out a major investment program aimed at improving and strengthening the sanitation system in Greater Nador.
This concerns in particular the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant (STEP) of the activated sludge type of Bni Nsar – Atalayoune – Farkhana with a nominal capacity of 7,000m3/day, with a cost of more than 140 million dirhams (MDH). Work on this project is currently underway and will provide relief to the sanitation network, pumping stations and the Nador STEP.
The program also concerns the rehabilitation of the sanitation network and the improvement of the performance of the existing Nador STEP, with a cost exceeding 55 MDH, work on which is currently being started and which will improve the operation of the works. existing sanitation facilities and increase the purification capacity of the existing WWTP.
