Former Belgian international takes on a new challenge in futsal
At 36, Radja Nainggolan is making headlines again, this time by joining the futsal scene in belgium’s third division with Hassania Mechelen. After parting ways with Indonesia‘s Bhayangkara Presisi last summer, the ex-Roma and Inter midfielder has officially signed with his new club following training sessions in late 2022. While Nainggolan expresses a desire to return to traditional football, he acknowledges the challenges posed by age in the sport. “I want to get back to 11-a-side football, but I’ve accepted that it’s not just about skill; age plays a important role,” he stated, emphasizing his commitment to staying fit without the sole motivation of financial gain.
