He added, “This season’s draw is balanced, especially since the differences between the Stars League clubs are simple, and we hope to achieve a better result this season.”

For his part, the goalkeeper coach of the Najaf team, Hadi Jaber, told (WAA): “We have reached the final stage of preparation after having a first stage in Najaf, and a second stage in Erbil. We played four friendly matches in the camp, and the training camp went well, and its period met the team’s ambition.”

He added, “Our first match against Al-Naft will be at our stadium, and this gives us good morale, stressing that the team seeks to achieve better results than last season, especially since the team is in an ascending phase in terms of physical fitness, tactical planning and technical development.”

For his part, Al-Najaf team goalkeeper, Sarhank Mohsen, told (WAA): “Our preparations are intensive, the team is complete, there are no injuries, and the situation is good, stressing that all players aspire to provide the best and compete with other clubs after obtaining fourth place last season.”
