Nakkheeran Reports on Congress’ Masiyata Demand from BJP

by time news

There is a conflict between ruling and opposition party MPs since the start of the second session of the budget session in Parliament. The BJP is asking for an apology from Rahul Gandhi, who insulted Indian democracy, while the opposition demands a joint parliamentary inquiry into the Adani affair. Both houses of Parliament have been continuously adjourned due to slogans and violence from both parties. Congress General Secretary Jayaram Ramesh stated that the Union government has offered to drop its demand for an apology in exchange for withdrawing the opposition’s demand for a joint inquiry, which they refuse to accept. The ruling party is using the Rahul issue to divert attention from the Adani issue. To allow Parliament to function, senior ministers must deny the allegations made against Rahul Gandhi, and the ruling party must allow him to speak in the Lok Sabha. Congress General Secretary Jayaram Ramesh told reporters, “If the opposition withdraws its demand for a joint parliamentary inquiry into the Adani issue, the Union government has offered to drop its demand for an apology for Rahul Gandhi’s London speech. We cannot accept this. These two issues are not related to each other. The Adani scandal is something that happened. .But BJP’s apology on Rahul Gandhi issue is baseless. It is completely false allegation. So we are not ready for any negotiation. Also Rahul Gandhi has written to Speaker to allow him to speak as per Rule 357 of Lok Sabha. It is his democratic right. But time will tell what Speaker will decide. It will answer.

The ruling party raising the Rahul issue in Parliament is a move to divert attention from the Adani issue. If the government is serious about making the Parliament work, it should allow Rahul Gandhi to speak in the Lok Sabha. Allow senior ministers to deny allegations leveled against Rahul Gandhi. Parliament will then function. It is up to the government whether or not to stall this entire budget series. The ruling party wants to talk. But we are not ready to talk without allowing Rahul to speak,” he said.
