Namakkal,- At the Nallipalayam Mariamman temple festival next to Namakkal, the devotees bought ‘murathadi’ from the ‘vampire’ and paid it handsomely.
At Nallipalayam Mariamman temple on Namakkal-Tiruchengode road, devotees took Periyasamy from the Moganuar Cauvery river with theerthakkudam and came in a procession. Next to Ayyambalam, there was a procession from the Periyur Marudakaliamman temple.
Earlier, on May 23rd, the second Baphu Katta, Vadishoru, Mavilaku, Agni Chatti taking, Theekundam descent ceremony was held on May 24th, Kida cutting took place on May 25th.
