25 euros are allocated for support per person every quarter. Depending on how many persons make up the household, the corresponding amount of funds will be transferred to the social card issued to the family (persons living together). This means that, for example, if a family of four lives together, they will add 100 euros to their family budget every quarter, with which they can purchase the necessary products and goods.

According to Minister of Social Security and Labor Vytautas Šilinskas, this year a new form of implementation of this state support was introduced, which is much more favorable for people who are struggling.

“Residents no longer have to wait in lines for food and hygiene packages, so they feel much more dignified, and on the other hand, they can purchase the products they need at the time in the most chosen store or retail chain. For example, people do not have to wait for support with hygiene products, which were previously only provided in certain quarters, they can buy them when they need them. I have no doubt that this is a successful decision in every sense”, says V. Šilinskas.
