Two names linked to the Attorney General of the Republic, Augusto Aras, were among the most voted in an internal election for vacancies in the Superior Council of the Public Ministry.

The first place was Hindenburgo Chateaubriand, current secretary of International Cooperation, who had 56 votes, or 40.5% of the total. He was followed by Carlos Frederico Santos, responsible for the group to combat anti-democratic acts, with 48 votes (34.7%).

Both were automatically elected to the two available seats on the Board. In third place was Alexandre Camanho, with 27 votes (19.5%), and in last place, Julieta Albuquerque, with 7 supports (5%).

Allies of Aras say this shows that the attorney general is still strong in his career and is not isolated or worn out, even with his term nearing the end.
