Authorities report that the suspects remain at large in all four incidents, while victims have received medical examinations and treatment at local healthcare facilities.
Hardap Region Police Probe Child Assaults
National police opened an investigation into four distinct sexual violence cases reported across the country over the first weekend of October 2026. Among the cases are two minor victims, aged eight and 11, who were attacked by an unknown suspect in the Hardap region.
National police spokesperson deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi released a weekend crime report stating that the exact time and date of the incident remain undetermined. According to the police briefing, Medical examinations were conducted on the victims and police investigations continue,
though officers have not yet identified a suspect.
Okahandja State Hospital Treats Attack Victim
In a separate assault reported in Okahandja, a 21-year-old woman was allegedly attacked by a man of unknown age at approximately 23h45 on Friday, 2 October 2026. The victim was transported to Okahandja State Hospital for rape kit collection and received necessary medical treatment following the incident. Police confirm that the suspect remains at large while investigations proceed.
Three Suspects Assault Woman in Outjo
A third sexual assault occurred at midnight on Saturday, 03 October 2026, in Outjo. A 23-year-old woman walking home through the bush between Herero location and 60 location in Etoshapoort was approached by three unknown suspects and violated. The victim was taken to the hospital for medical examinations, and authorities report that no arrests have been made.
