Confirmation of the romance arrived on October 2 after local entertainment outlet Dispatch published a report detailing sightings of the couple around Achiul Village in Guri, Gyeonggi Province, where Nana resides. The report noted that the two spent time together just before Nana departed for Milan Fashion Week on September 24.

Representatives for both performers moved swiftly to address the speculation. T.O.P’s label, Top Spot Pictures, released a statement confirming the timeline, while Nana’s agency, Sublime, verified that the couple was maintaining a positive relationship.

They first met through a music video shoot, grew close, and developed into a romantic relationship around June.
