Nanni Loy’s candid cameras are back on TV with “Fantastic Italians and where to find them”, the new program of social experiments broadcast from Monday 30 May at 2 pm on Rai2, conceived by Giorgio John Squarcia and hosted by Alessandro Di Sarno. Each episode will contain a tribute to the historic director and author who was the first in Italy to experiment with hidden cameras, through a clip taken from the famous programs “Specchio Segreto” and “Il Tappabuchi”. An opportunity for reflection on past and present: on what would happen if the suggestions and ideas underlying Nanni Loy’s candidacies were developed in today’s Italy. In the wake of the brilliant inspirer, Alessandro Di Sarno will try to repeat some of the experiments: in this clip he is in a bar in Milan, intent on replicating the gag of the soup in the coffee (of others), perhaps the most famous in the history of TV. How will Italians react today? Will you find some really great Italians? The program, thanks to the candid camera technique, will in fact give the unsuspecting protagonists the opportunity to confess and tell about themselves and at the same time to investigate the characters, prejudices and values of the Italians at the dawn of the third millennium
