Great emotion this Thursday in the Pablo-Picasso district, in Nanterre, where the Hakkar family grew up, several brothers of whom have distinguished themselves in robberies and drug trafficking in recent decades. It was one of the sisters of these large siblings who was discovered dead in her home around 9:30 a.m., stabbed.
Her brother Djamel, whom she had hosted since his last release from prison, according to several acquaintances of the family, was searched for a good part of the day and, according to our information, was arrested around 5:30 p.m. in Val-de- Marl.
According to the first elements collected by the police, the tragedy took place early in the morning, behind closed doors of the victim’s apartment, on the first floor of a building on Avenue Pablo-Picasso. Some sources speak of an argument that broke out between the brother and sister, although we do not yet know for what reason. Argument that would have ended in stabbings.
Fragile mental balance
Several people were in police custody at the end of the day, in the premises of the departmental judicial police service, responsible for the investigation. If the family trail seems the most plausible, investigators have not yet ruled out any other avenue, given the Hakkars’ past in organized crime.

Djamel Hakkar is the little brother of Hamid Hakkar, convicted in the case of the robbery of the Joinville-le-Pont post office (Val-de-Marne) committed on July 28, 1999 with Antonio Ferrara.
For several years, Djamel Hakkar, now 45 years old, has suffered from very relative mental health. Moreover, as part of a trial in 2014, before the Nanterre criminal court, where he appeared for several assaults, a psychiatric expert assessed his discernment as “impaired”.
