The Loire-Atlantique firefighters were alerted around 6:30 a.m. this Sunday morning of the attack on a woman on the public highway in Nantes. The facts occurred in front of a center of activity, in an area where there are no dwellings.
According to Ouest-France, witnesses saw a woman chased by a man who tried to grab her by the hair. She would then have shouted “help, help”. He would then have stabbed her with at least three stab wounds, in the shoulder and in the abdomen.
The 47-year-old victim, according to the firefighters, “quickly fell unconscious and then went into cardio-respiratory arrest when help arrived”. She could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene, they said.
The departmental director of public security (DDSP), elected officials, firefighters and a team of the judicial police are on site.
According to Ouest France, no arrests have taken place for the moment.
