Sako Kawashima, Itoki’s communications director, said, “A lot of people in Japan go to the bathroom and take a nap. It’s not healthy. The best way to refresh yourself is to take a nap in a comfortable place.”
And many Japanese people work continuously without a break. We believe companies can use this as a more flexible approach to rest,” Kawashima said.
According to the company, this nap box is used to relieve the employees from the stress caused by long working hours. And many studies have shown that when employees resume work after a short break, productivity increases. So these nap boxes are expected to be a boon to the people of Japan who have the longest working hours in the world.
