Thiruvananthapuram: Prominent Malayalam calligrapher Narayana Bhattathiri has been invited to the International Calligraphy Exhibition starting tomorrow (March 10) in Bengaluru. The three-day exhibition and workshop is under the auspices of the Institute of Indo-Islamic Art Culture and Bisari Group.
The exhibition is the first of its kind in the country where famous calligraphers from Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Kuwait, UAE, Sudan and Japan will participate along with calligraphers from India. Apart from Bhattathiri from Kerala, the works of Anfus Vandoor will also be on display. Narayana Bhattathiri, who has won several international awards, is also the director of the Kachathapa National Calligraphy Festival.
