NASA has announced the composition of the crew of the Artemis mission, which will fly around the moon
The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has announced the composition of the crew of the Orion manned spacecraft. He will go to the moon at the end of 2024 and fly around it as part of the Artemis-2 mission.
The Artemis program was presented in September 2020. Its main goal is “the return of astronauts to the lunar surface”, the construction of a near-lunar station and the preparation of conditions for the “possible colonization of the Moon.”
The crew will include three US citizens: Reed Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Canadian Jeremy Hansen.
The launch of the Space Launch System rocket with the Orion spacecraft to the moon, according to NASA, is scheduled for November next year. The flight of astronauts is designed for 10 days.
