NASA claimed: Humans will be able to live on the moon in this decade – this is how it will happen

by time news

The manager of the Orion program at NASA and responsible for the agency’s planning, development, production and operations, Howard Ho, explained that humans will be able to live and work on the moon “in this decade” with the help of NASA’s future manned Orion spacecraft.

Observations on the lunar pole indicate that there are large reservoirs of ice and water, hidden in the deep and dark craters. If this information is confirmed, this will allow NASA to build a factory to produce rocket fuel in order to send researchers to Mars and the rest of space.

Oh, who leads the Orion program, claimed that the next main goal is to establish a permanent base on the moon alongside a space station that will attack the moon called the Lunar Gateway, with the hope that one day it will become a refueling station for manned missions to Mars, Jupiter and beyond. “We intend to send people to the surface to live on the moon. We should learn a little beyond our fixed orbit on Earth, so that we can take an unprecedented step in the future,” said the person in charge. “This mission will allow us to build a sustainable transportation system thanks to which we can operate in the deep space around us.”

NASA explained: “The space agency travels to the moon with commercial and international partners to explore and know more together. The joint work will contribute new information and opportunities and inspire future generations.”
