The United States of America aims to return a person to the moon before Russia and China take appropriate action. This was stated by the new head of NASA, Bill Nelson, during a speech to US senators.
According to him, on Wednesday, June 16, Moscow and Beijing will announce plans for cooperation in space.
“It’s interesting to keep an eye on this because no matter how we cooperate, it will be important for us to get the first woman and the first non-white man to the surface of the moon before our competitors do,” Nelson said.
A hearing in the US Congress focuses on NASA funding for the coming fiscal year.
