NASA laboratory put forward the theory of the “Great filter” that prevents meeting aliens

According to Dailymail, a group of specialists from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration of the United States put forward a theory about why earthlings have not yet met aliens.

Five NASA experts put forward the “Great Filter” theory, according to which other civilizations could have existed throughout the history of the universe, but they all destroyed themselves before they could make contact with us.

“The ‘Great Filter’, a phenomenon that erases civilizations before they meet each other, may explain cosmic silence… Humanity, too, may be on its way to erasing — or ‘filtering’ — itself. But the pluses are that if we humans understand this, we can avoid such a fate,” NASA experts are sure.
