Chandrayaan 3 en la Luna – NASA

MADRID, 6 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Spaceship LRO (Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter) NASA has located India’s Chandrayaan-3 mission 600 kilometers from the Moon’s south pole.

This ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) mission landed on the Moon on August 23 2023 and is the first to reach the south polar region of Earth’s satellite. The equatorial circumference of the Moon is 10,920 kilometers.

LRO’s camera acquired an oblique (42 degree roll angle) view of the lander four days later. The bright halo around the vehicle was the result of the interaction of the rocket plume with the fine-grained regolith (soil), reports NASA.

The Chandrayaan-3 mission comprises the Vikram lander of 1.7 tons and el rover Pragyan26 kilos, who is exploring the surroundings.
