NASA, the Osiris-Rex spacecraft lands on the asteroid Bennu

A four-year space trip to “write” the history of the Universe – Ansa /Courier TV

The images show the NASA team rejoicing over the historic feat just completed. The Osiris-Rex probe has touched the asteroid Bennu to collect grams of dust and soil samples useful for scientists to discover the origins of our Solar System. The spacecraft traveled 330 million kilometers in four years before being able to land on the planetoid. This delicate operation, carried out at the center of the Nightingale site, 16 meters in diameter and rich in material, will allow NASA to study space rocks and fossils that date back to the formation of the Solar System, 4.5 billion years ago.
