Indian Railways has qualified for the finals of the women’s division of the National Basketball Championship.
The 71st National Basketball Championship, which is being held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai, has now reached the semi-finals.
In the first semi-final of the women’s division on Saturday, the mighty Indian Railways clashed with Tamil Nadu.
The Railway team, which dominated from the beginning, defeated Tamil Nadu 115-88. For Railways, Avanti Varadhan scored 16, Dashini 10, Mathura Kuma, Kulapsha, Poonam 12, Pushpa 24 points, Satya 30, Pratibha Priya 10 and Amrita 14 points for Tamil Nadu.
In the other semi-final, Telangana beat Kerala 81-78. Priyanka scored 33, Aswathy 20 and Anbarasi 16 points for Telangana and Kavita 22 and Srikala 27 points for Kerala.
Adawa: In the first semi-final of the Adawa division, Punjab defeated Karnataka 88-75. For Punjab, Kanwa scored 26 points, Ambreet 22 points, Amjot 16 points and for Karnataka, Abhishek Gowda 22 points and Harish Kumar 18 points.
