This is in line with the initiative of the National Strategy for Corruption Prevention (Stratnas PK) National Team in encouraging clean and transparent cooperation between government business entities, BUMN and BUMD, as well as local governments in the mining and waste management sectors.

SIG subsidiaries, PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk (SBI) and PT Semen Tonasa, also demonstrated their commitment to assist local governments in addressing waste issues.

SBI signed a Joint Agreement on Waste Management with the Aceh Provincial Government and Purwakarta Regency Government.

Meanwhile, PT Semen Tonasa signed a Cooperation Agreement in Waste Management with the Pangkep Regency Government.

To maintain the effectiveness and efficiency of the use of government budgets, both central and regional, in relation to waste management, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) as the coordinator of the National Stranas PK Team has conducted a special study on how to make the best use of waste that can bring benefits to the nation and state.

The Head of the Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Johanis Tanak, said that the KPK has the main task of eradicating criminal acts of corruption, which includes the prevention aspect.

“In the implementation of waste management that will use funds from the central government through BUMN or local government through BUMD, we will monitor this so that later there will be no reprehensible actions to use these funds for personal or group interests that will cause state losses. This is what we will monitor later. Every 3 months we will conduct an evaluation. Whether the activity has really been carried out in accordance with applicable provisions and there has been no state loss, especially related to corruption,” said Johanis Tanak.

SIG’s commitment to environmental conservation efforts is strengthened with the support of an environmentally friendly waste management facility called Nathabumi.
