Thiruvananthapuram: Munshuttle badminton player Olympian V. Diju was appointed. In this regard, the Kerala Olympic Association has written to the Indian Olympic Association and the Gujarat National Games Organizing Committee.
A native of Kozhikode, Diju has won the National Badminton Championship six times in mixed doubles and men’s doubles. Represented India in 2012 London Olympics. In 2014, he was honored with the Arjuna Award by the country. He has also received the GV Raja Award. He is an officer in Oil and Natural Gas Corporation.
