The 8th National Level Open Karate Championship was held at Salem Taniya College of Engineering. It was attended by junior and senior students from various districts and states. Students Jayasree, Arikaran, Guruprasad, Valarmati, Sheikh Aptab, Bokeshwaran, Kamalesh, Santosh, Nishant, Vigneshwaran, Sanjay, Balakumaran, Shakrighan, Ashraf, Ashrafi, Ashrapi, Ashrapi, Ashrapi, Ashrafi, Ashrapi In this 15 students in Katta section and 17 students in Kumte section achieved record by getting shield and certificate.
Coach Sensai Selvakumar and former coach Sensai Vaithiyanathan and many others lauded the students who added value to Villupuram district.
