The statement added that the corporation is working to implement all its obligations towards power stations throughout the country, according to the timetables and plans set in advance, which take into account the needs of consuming entities.

The Corporation confirmed that it is working to provide the required fuel and gas needs according to the capabilities available to it, taking into account operational and production conditions, noting its commitment to providing services efficiently and transparently, in order to meet the country’s needs in a way that achieves stability in the energy sector.

Earlier, the General Electricity Company sent two urgent letters to the Attorney General and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation, warning of the seriousness of the current situation due to the shortage of liquid fuel supplies to power generation stations across the country.

The company explained in its letter to the Attorney General that the fuel shortage constitutes a major technical problem for the public network, which may lead to partial or total blackouts, and greatly affects the daily lives of citizens.
