National Register of Crafts: nearly 14,000 artisan bakers registered (Ms. Ammor)

Rabat – Nearly 14,000 workers in traditional bakeries, including 12,000 beneficiaries of compulsory health insurance (AMO), have registered in the National Register of Crafts (RNA), said Monday in Rabat, the Minister of Tourism, Crafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatima Zahra Ammor.

In response to a central question during the oral questions session in the House of Representatives on “the situation of traditional bakeries”, Ms. Ammor explained that Law 50.17 relating to the exercise of craft activities “encompasses this category important and allows the artisans who work there to register with the RNA”, emphasizing that traditional bakeries are part of the craft services sectors.

The minister also indicated that her Department is working on the organization of craft professions within provincial, regional and national corporations, which “will allow the development of a work program in coordination with these organizations for the development and preservation of craft activity.

In this sense, she stressed that a meeting took place with the two federations in the traditional bakery sector to make them aware of the importance of registering with the RNA in order to benefit from the programs offered by the State, such as preferential financing agreements with banks or the repair program for damage caused by the Al-Haouz earthquake reserved for the craft sector.
