The 12th Indian Senior Men’s Hockey Tournament was held in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh from the 6th of this month. 27 state teams participated and played.
Tamil Nadu faced Haryana in the final yesterday.
At the end of the match the teams were tied with one goal each and the win or loss was decided by a tie breaker.
Haryana won the trophy 4-2. 2nd place Tamil Nadu team won the silver medal.
State Sports Minister Meyyanathan congratulated the silver medal winning Tamil Nadu senior hockey team.
