Chennai: The CBI has arrested Anand Subramaniam, a former adviser to the National Stock Exchange, in connection with a scam in Chennai.

However, in 2015, Anand Subramaniam was promoted to CEO of the National Stock Exchange by Chitra Ramakrishna. Annually, a salary of Rs 44 crore was paid. Controversy arose over whether an unqualified person would be paid millions.
SEBI has exposed the misuse of the National Stock Exchange’s computer control center ‘Server’ Center by a Delhi-based private equity trading firm, Sebi. Complaints also arose that he had invested abroad.

‘E-mail’ Contact ‘

As the issue escalated, Chitra Ramakrishna and Anand Subramanian resigned in succession. Recently, income tax officials raided their homes in Mumbai and Chennai and seized important documents.
The Mumbai CBI has registered a case against Chitra Ramakrishna and Anand Subramaniam for corruption. I did not meet him in person.

‘Digital’ documents

However, SEBI has provided evidence to the CBI that Chitra Ramakrishna bathed in the sea on an island with a so-called preacher and retired on the beach. They have raided and seized ‘digital’ documents related to corruption allegations. Based on this, the CBI and authorities arrested Anand Subramaniam in Chennai and took him to Mumbai on a flight.
In this situation, the court has given permission to the CBI to take Anand Subramaniam into custody for 10 days and interrogate him before the special court. .
An inquiry is underway into whether Chitra Ramakrishna referred to him as a ‘yogi’ and staged a clichd play or was in contact with another person as ‘Himalayan Samiyar’. Chitra Ramakrishna will also be arrested soon, CBI sources said.
